Asking your data questions
Ask like you'd ask a colleague. Be specific about time and place.
Ask Your Data answers questions in plain English using your own numbers and the business definitions we wrote with you.
Good questions
- Which jobs are over budget this month?
- What was cost per mile at the Savannah terminal last quarter?
- Which clinics had wait times over 20 minutes last week?
Tips
- Name the time period (this month, last quarter).
- Name the place (a job, site, or team).
- If an answer looks wrong, tell your analyst — we'll check the definition behind it.
